Honor Those Who Served This Holiday Season

wreathespictureIf you missed giving Tuesday, and were looking to make a donation that will honor those that served our county, please consider giving to this non-profit that places wreaths on the graves of those who served at Arlington Cemetery. Every $15 donation pays for one wreath that is lovingly placed by dozens of local volunteers.

Apparently donations are down this year, and every last donation helps. Visit this page to contribute to the Family Council of Belvoir Woods, it’s a non-profit made up family members of those who served and coordinate laying the donated wreaths. I know many of the members because my parents lived in this community for more than a decade, and many of the residents have been life-long friends. Find the Donate Now button and benefit from a tax deduction … and a GOOD DEED.

Thank you for your service

vetsthankyouOn this Memorial Day, I want to say “thank you” to all of those who are serving or have served our country. My father, grandfather and great-grandfather served in the U.S. Army. I’m proud of the legacy each of them left behind. There are millions more that deserve our appreciation.

For all the men and women who have served our country “Thank you for your service.” Appreciated.
