Relatives often spot Alzheimer’s

A friend who is a doctor told me after patients reach 70, many M.D.s don’t pursue issues like they might for a 50 or 60-year old. I assumed that the doctors that saw my parents were just letting them coast by – couldn’t they see how cognitively impaired they were?

This article from the 5/23/12 edition of The Washington Post helped me better understand that it’s not as simple as assuming the doctor just doesn’t care. Heartened.
